Government Incentives

With the reduction of carbon emissions prevalent in the news and on everyone’s minds; local, state and federal government are getting behind initiatives which reduce our impact on the environment.

The Green Building Fund, an Australian Government Initiative, aims to reduce the impact of Australia’s built environment on green house gas emissions by reducing the energy consumed in the operation of commercial office buildings. The program will provide $90 million in grant funds across four years, from 2008-09 to 2011-12.

In addition, state-based incentives like the NSW Green Business Offer include similar incentives for deploying or retro-fitting green technology, including LED lighting.
